Biography

Trevor Claiborn, AKA Farmer Brown Tha MC, is an author, producer, songwriter, entertainer, environmental educator, extension professional, agriculturalist, youth program director and public speaker. To date, Mr. Claiborn has made presentations about agriculture, diversifying agricultural and STEM fields, creative youth engagement strategies, as well as his research to thousands of youth across the country. In addition, he has co-founded with his wife Ashley an agro-tourism business called Black Soil: Our Better Nature, which conducts farm tours and farm to table dinners centered around rural based Black farmers in Kentucky. Mr. Claiborn has received recognition from the Central Kentucky Diversity Consortium, the 2016 MOAIIC Award at MOSIIAC Conference, 2nd Place in Community and Outreach Research-Oral Presentation at the Association of 1890’s Research & Development Research Symposium, and been named as a Rising Star by the Kentucky Association of Environmental Educators (KAEE). He is a 2018 ee360 Green Fellow and a former member of the KAEE Board of Directors.
