Jessica Nelson – Agilent Technologies

Biography

Jessica Nelson, a native of Kentucky, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University. After graduation, Jessica worked in several different labs until she found a home as a Field Service Engineer at Agilent Technologies. For the past two years Jessica has installed, maintained, qualified and repaired Agilent chromatography and spectroscopy products onsite in labs of all sectors. Jessica has never been satisfied staying in one sector for too long, so a career in field service is the perfect way to learn about – and be exposed to – how chemistry is applied in all fields. She has also previously worked in technical support for military and first responders, traveling the country repairing, maintaining and training on field portable scientific equipment. As a 19-year enlisted member of the Kentucky Air National Guard, Jessica is the Bioenvironmental Engineering Technician and Respiratory Protection Manager for the Kentucky Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Enhanced Response Team.
