Biography

Dr. Anne “Liz” Ware is a Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the Renewable Resources and Enabling Sciences Center. Dr. Ware is originally from West Virginia and performed her doctoral research at the University of Kentucky at the Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER). After earning her Ph.D. in 2013, she went to NREL to work as a postdoctoral researcher prior to becoming a staff scientist. Her current research focuses on the analysis of biomass and bio-derived fuels and chemicals with emphasis on high-throughput analytical methodology, process monitoring, spectroscopy and pyrolysis. Liz’s research is part of the Center for Bioenergy Innovation (CBI) and she also works on projects for the US DOE Bioenergy Technologies Office. She spends her recreational time hiking, gardening, sketching and cooking.
